ErykaTheChef: Owner/Hospitality & Customer Service Specialist
I was six years old the first time I prepared a solo meal: cabbage salad, a boiled egg, and green iced jiffy cornbread muffins. My beautiful mom beamed from ear to ear as I carried my Cabbage Patch tv tray filled with my early version of deliciousness into her room. I’m not sure if she ate one bite of it, but the joy on her face had me hooked. It wasn’t long before I was taking orders from the neighborhood kids and serving anything I could find in the fridge. By the age of 14 I was organizing, hosting, and cooking for my first four course dinner party. However, as much as I loved food and cooking for people, no one ever told me I could make a real life career out of it. I began the first phase of my educational journey by pursuing my biology degree, which expanded my love and knowledge of the human body, and by traveling a small portion of the world as a pharmacy tech in the USAR, which broadened my love, curiosity and knowledge of the diversity of regional and cultural cuisine, before pursuing my degree in culinary arts. I have finally found myself in a place where all of my life’s experiences, education, credentials and my many passions have converged, and I’m in love! In 2010 after working for several notable chef’s and restaurants, obtaining degrees & accolades, and experiencing rapid growth in personal clients, I founded Not Just Catering. My mission from day one was to bring smiles by providing delicious whole healthy meals and 100% personalized service. As this journey continues my experience & passion, the vision, the company and the mission have continued to grow and evolve.
TO ENHANCE THE LIVES OF INDIVIDUALS THROUGH THE CULINARY ARTS:
Food is a vehicle that can go wherever we are willing to take it, and is more than just a means to live.
TO BRING TO LIFE THE IMAGINATIONS AND IDEAS OF EVERYONE WE ENCOUNTER:
There is no limit to what can be done. If you can dream it we can create it.
TO PROMOTE FAMILY & HEALTH BY BRINGING DINNER BACK TO THE TABLE:
Focusing on the health of the family as a unit creates both habits and memories which set a foundation for a life time of healthy decisions
TO BRING BACK THE BELIEF THAT ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE W/ A LITTLE CREATIVITY & DEDICATION:
We intentionally step outside of the box with the events that we promote and the food that we create.
